Hello! I’m Stacey.
Stacey Menton received her B.A. in music from Westminster Choir College of Rider University graduating summa cum laude in May of 2006. While at Westminster, Mrs. Menton sang at the National Cathedral with the Chapel Choir, performed on a tour of the East Coast with Schola Cantorum, and performed with the New York Philharmonic, New Jersey Symphony, and Dresdener Philharmoniker of Germany with Westminster's Symphonic Choir.
Stacey received her second Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Iowa in 2012. This second Master's degree coupled with her first Master’s degree in Voice Performance and Pedagogy from Penn State University has helped Stacey become a Singing Voice Specialist. She holds a position as a voice and upper airway specialist at a hospital in Florida.
She has sung numerous roles, including: the title role in Bizet's Carmen Card Trio, La Messaggera in Monteverdi's L'Orfeo, Henny Penny in Trinkley's Chicken Little, Cis in Britten's Albert Herring, and Albine in Massanet's Thaïs.
Stacey previously devoted much of her time to the translation of several soprano opera arias and duets of Claudio Monteverdi as well as research on the composer and the time period in which he lived.
As a music educator, Stacey has taught in many different capacities. She was a diction tutor at Westminster Choir College and also a diction coach to the Pottsgrove High School Concert Choir. She has taught string instruments at the International Charter School of Trenton, NJ - both in a classroom setting and as a private tutor to several cello students. Stacey has also enjoyed teaching private voice students while at Penn State, in her hometown of Pottstown, PA, Iowa City, IA, and she currently teaches in the Jacksonville, FL area as well as virtually.
Mrs. Menton has also devoted some time to giving presentations on vocal wellness for singers and other professional voice users. She developed an online course as well, which you can find here.
Everything is easy, once you know how!
